India-EU Free Trade Agreement Finalized After Decade of Negotiations

After more than a decade of negotiations, India and the European Union have finalized a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.

Under the agreement, tariffs on approximately 90% of goods will be eliminated over a 10-year period. As what reportersays in the international trade coverage, this deal could boost India-EU bilateral trade by up to 40%.

The agreement is expected to be formally signed at the India-EU Summit next month.
