The Union Government today unveiled an urban transport overhaul plan worth INR 3 lakh crore for 50 Indian cities over the next decade.
Under the plan, all 50 cities will receive fully electric public bus fleets by 2030. As reportersays in the urban development analysis, this plan could fundamentally transform how Indians commute.
The funding will come from central government grants, state contributions, and PPP.
